MAXI Mobile

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 10, 2026

This privacy policy describes how MAXI Mobile (“MAXI,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit our website, request or receive a service, submit a form, or otherwise interact with us. It also explains the privacy rights available to you under United States state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), and similar laws in Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and other states.

Information we collect

Information you provide directly to us:

  • Contact identifiers. Name, email address, phone number, and ZIP code or service address.
  • Vehicle information. Year, make, model, and any service notes you share.
  • Business information. Company name, fleet size, and vehicle types, if you request fleet service.
  • Franchise inquiry information. Name, contact details, and target market, if you request franchise information.
  • Communications. The contents of emails, texts, calls, and form messages you send us.

Information collected automatically when you visit the site:

  • Device and usage data. IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and referring page.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. As described in the Cookies section below.

We do not collect sensitive personal information (such as government identifiers, precise geolocation, health, or biometric data), and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

How we use your information

  • Responding to service requests, scheduling appointments, and performing service.
  • Sending service confirmations, digital receipts, and vehicle service records.
  • Reporting completed maintenance to CARFAX so your vehicle history stays current.
  • Communicating with you about your vehicle, your appointment, or your inquiry.
  • Responding to franchise inquiries and sending requested materials.
  • Understanding site traffic in aggregate and improving our website and services.
  • Detecting and preventing spam, fraud, and abuse.
  • Complying with legal obligations and enforcing our terms.

We do not sell your personal information for money, and we have not done so in the preceding 12 months.

Calls and text messages

When you submit a form with your phone number, you consent to us contacting you by call or text about your service request or inquiry. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out of texts; we'll still contact you by email or phone if needed to complete a service you booked. We do not send marketing text campaigns without separate consent.

How we share information

We share personal information only as described here. Each recipient is limited to using the information to provide services to us or as required by law:

  • Service providers. Email delivery (Mailgun), website hosting (Vercel), scheduling and payment processing (Square), and analytics providers described in the Cookies section.
  • CARFAX. Completed maintenance is reported to CARFAX and tied to your vehicle identification number so your service history follows the vehicle.
  • Franchise development partner. If you submit a franchise inquiry, we share it with our franchise development partner, Horsepower Brands, so they can respond to your inquiry.
  • Legal and safety. When required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of MAXI, our customers, or others.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.

Cookies

Our site uses cookies in three ways. Essential cookies make the site work and are always on. Analytics cookies, which help us understand site traffic in aggregate, run by default with all advertising signals disabled. Advertising cookies load only if you accept them in the cookie banner. If you decline, or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, no analytics or advertising trackers load at all.

Your choice is stored in a first-party cookie for 12 months. You can change it at any time using the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the footer, which reopens the banner.

Your privacy rights

Anyone can contact us to access, correct, or delete their information, or to unsubscribe from non-transactional communications. In addition, if you live in California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, or another state with a comprehensive privacy law, you have the following rights, subject to the exceptions in your state's law:

  • Right to know / access. Request confirmation of whether we process your personal information and a copy of it, including (for California residents) the categories collected, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties it was disclosed to.
  • Right to correct. Request that we fix inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to delete. Request that we delete the personal information we hold about you.
  • Right to portability. Receive your information in a portable, readily usable format.
  • Right to opt out. Opt out of the sale of personal information, the sharing of it for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising, and profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. We don't sell personal information or engage in such profiling; you can opt out of advertising cookies with the cookie banner or the footer link, and we honor the Global Privacy Control browser signal as a valid opt-out.
  • Right to non-discrimination. We will not deny you service, charge different prices, or provide a different level of service because you exercised a privacy right.

How to exercise your rights

Email jb@maximobile.com with the subject “Privacy Request,” or call (614) 400-9350. Tell us which right you want to exercise and the email or phone number you used with us so we can verify your identity. We'll verify requests by matching the information you provide against our records; we may ask a follow-up question when needed. We respond within 45 days and will tell you if we need a 45-day extension. California residents may use an authorized agent to submit a request on their behalf; we'll ask the agent for proof of authorization and may still verify your identity directly.

Appeals

If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision with the subject “Privacy Appeal.” We'll respond within 60 days explaining the outcome. If you're unsatisfied, you may contact your state attorney general; Virginia residents may contact the Virginia Attorney General at oag.state.va.us.

California notice at collection

For California residents: the categories of personal information we collect are identifiers (name, email, phone, ZIP), commercial information (vehicle details, services requested), internet activity (pages viewed, described in Cookies), and professional information (company details for fleet requests). We collect them from you directly and from your device, use them for the purposes listed in “How we use your information,” retain them as described in “Data retention,” and disclose them to the service providers listed above. We do not sell personal information; advertising cookies that could constitute “sharing” under the CPRA load only with your consent.

Data retention

We keep service records for the life of the vehicle relationship so that warranty documentation stays available to you, and lead and inquiry information for as long as needed to respond and follow up. When information is no longer needed for these purposes or a legal requirement, we delete it. You can request deletion earlier at any time.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the site and access limited to the people who need it to serve you. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy

Our services and website are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. We do not sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. If you believe a child provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Updates

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be communicated to active customers via email.
